Weekly Recap 3/10-22

Well, I thought I posted last week’s recap, but I didn’t finalize the post… So this one covers the last two weeks.

It was a slow week in the studio…

Not much foot traffic this time around, but the ones who did make it in were my favorites ☺️🥰

Our learn to sew classes wrapped up their second week, meaning graduation plans are in the works for their next class. I’m super proud of you all. It’s very satisfying to watch my students learn and grow more confident each week.

April & May class schedules are available for booking. I also take private lessons or events if you’d like to book a group session.

Since I had more extra time than usual this week, I’ve been cranking out new items like crazy. The clothing rack in the studio is full and I ran out of hangers 2x… 😂

@chums_candy shop requested a custom art piece for their wall. This is not something I’ve done with fabric before. I have a background working with paint and art, so I jumped at this opportunity. I love how it’s coming together & hope to have it framed and in their space soon.

We’ve got a few new classes debuting in April. Appliqué it! It is an all-skills level workshop focused on the basics of hand cut appliqué design & execution.

I guess I’m also teaching nurf basketball too! There’s no class to sign up for however if you stop by the studio, I’m down for a pickup game or slam dunk contest😎🏀

This week’s studio hours:
Closed — yeah, sorry I have one of those job things again, but we will be back open next week!

A new class is coming up at the end of April, Appliqué it! A beginner-friendly workshop focused on the basics of creating and applying your very own applique design.

Let’s Get Sewing classes this week including a private session for a local homeschool group. Lots of fun ladies & I’ll see later this week for your 2nd lesson.

Yes! You can book private parties and other events with me and my super fun teaching staff.

Here are some ideas:
Birthday parties, bridal/baby showers, team building cooperate events, girls’ night sip & sew, mommy & me… or whatever occasion & group you want to bring here. Dam or email for package pricing and event details.

Now back to the recap-
Our second Let’s Hem it! The workshop was super fun. @brookefeder353 was an absolute delight to meet. I think we spent more time chatting than sewing 😂 (this is a common hazard when entering the doors of ✌️💖🧵.co), but we did complete the agenda and she left with 2 pair of hemmed pants for her hubby 🫶

My favorite new friends from @tabicssewingmachines stopped in to say hi 🥰 @twinkie_chick @smack.hudak, you guys are amazing. Thanks for hanging with me. If you need your machine repaired or are in the market for a new one make sure you check out Tabics on Industrial.

I played hooky a bit on Saturday to go check the @marketinthealley & the matching brides @dtlv. So fun!

I’m working on a nonwearable sewn art piece for my super cool neighbor @chums_candy @chumlee ‘s candy shop just down stairs from me. If you’re here, make sure you stop in and say hi!

Custom projects & commissioned art pieces are welcome. Email me to discuss peacelovesew.co@gmail.com
