Let’s Get Sewing is a three-week beginner sewing course focused on the very basics. You’ll learn all about the magic of a domestic zig-zag machine. If you don’t know what that is, then this is the right class for you!

Bring us your ill-fitting apparel, and we will help you make the correct adjustments needed to transform your garment into a great-fitting one. This is an alterations workshop. You’ll be working on your own pieces with guided instruction to learn how to alter the fit of your own clothing items!

Learn to sew a cute and functional tote bag that’s perfect for a day at the market. In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of bag making and leave with a finished project you will be proud to carry with you.

Let’s Hem It, is a two hour workshop focused hemming denim while maintaining the original hem. You’ll learn how to adjust the length of your jeans while keeping the factory hem intact. We will also (if time permits) talk about ways to alter the fit at the waist line.

Please bring your own blue jeans to work on. If you do not have a pair you’d like to fix, just let us know and we will be happy to supply you with a pair to work on.

Dig it! Wallet is a three hour Saturday workshop focused the basics of wallet making. You’ll learn how to create a card slot and interior pocket as well as how to install hardware. We will also go over proper interfacing, stabilizer and the importance of pressing.

This workshop includes all your materials and supplies.

In the PeaceLoveSew.co studio we invite you to bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours. We have new Janome signature machines as well as an eclectic assortment of vintage machines. All are beginner friendly and easy to use.

You may bring your own from home or use one of ours provided by Tabics sewing machines. When you fall in love with the machine you’ll have the option to purchase it and take her home— same day! Your rental fee will go towards your the price of the machine.
