In this two-hour workshop, you will learn the basic skills and techniques needed to successfully and confidently sew using a serger/overlock machine. You may bring your own from home or use one of ours provided by Tabics sewing machines. When you fall in love with the machine, you’ll have the option to purchase it and take her home— same day! Your rental fee will go towards the price of the machine.

Classes:

• Let’s get sewing… with an overlock (serger)
  1 hour/ week | 3 week course

  What will you learn:
  WK 1- Getting to know her: Slaying your serger fears & threading the monster….
  WK 2- Learn about thread types and different techniques used in apparel construction.
  WK 3- Hemming and other fun things: Trade secrets for hemming and doing other amazing details with a serger

• Crash Course… with an overlock (serger)
  2-3 hour class | 1 day
  Getting to know her: Slaying your serger fears & threading the monster….
  We will go over different techniques used in apparel construction (if time permits)

Dates:

• Crash Course- Wednesday, August 12 @ 1 pm
